The SurfaceCONTROL operates based on the fringe projection principle. It is ideally used in an application where manufacturers are interested in capturing precise 3D dimensions of manufactured products. This newly released 3D sensor offers the highest repeatability up to 0.4 μm and z-resolution from 1.0 μm, suitable for detecting the finest details on an object.
With a compact and easy-to-use design, the SurfaceCONTROL 3D 3500 is ideally used for continuous and automatic inline quality inspection in production and manufacturing environments. Be it 3D embossments or minute structures on small components, this sensor facilitates reliable detection of any planarity defects. The SurfaceCONTROL 3D 3500 is integrated with a powerful software development kit (SDK), based on GenICam and GigE Vision industry standards, to allow for seamless integration with customized industrial software.
The new and revolutionary sensor technology will change the way you inspect electronic components as well as manufactured components and assemblies. For example, it can ensure that rivets are positioned in the right spot by detecting its width and tilt angle. In addition, these 3D scanners can also effectively recognize 3D embossments and detect minute structures on small components. The measurement results are transmitted to the 3DInspect software for processing and evaluation. The results are received as a 3D point cloud and can be exported in different file formats for further data processing.
