Description

Festo
has been continuously expanding its product range for many years with
industry-specific process valves for controlling fluids, bulk material and
gases. By combining these valves with drives and position indicators, as well
as our standard pneumatics and automation, we give customers an extremely
interesting concept from a single source. Users from the food processing, water
treatment, chemical, mining and pharmaceutical industries can
improve process reliability and also save time with ready to install,
pre-assembled process valves.

Ball, butterfly and knife gate valves are commonplace in the
process industry and there are clear benefits for buying
them pre-assembled with a pneumatic actuator which include:

  • Quick and easy installation in your machine saves time
    and added costs
  • Pre-configured solutions to simplify product selection
  • Perfectly matched torques and mounting patterns ensure
    reliability & compatibility
  • Supplied pre-tested for reliability and ease of
    mind
  • Process valves, actuators and sensor boxes complete
    from the one supplier
  • Order with one part number simplifies the ordering
    process

Ball valves

Festo
2-way and 3-way ball valves are extremely robust and when combined with Festo
DFPB quarter turn actuators, they offer a reliable solution for demanding
applications in a wide variety of industries. The innovative housing design
allows two valves to be actuated simultaneously, simplifying control and
reducing costs for some applications. The DFPB also has an industry standard
NAMUR interface for direct mounting of solenoid control valves and sensor boxes
as well as the Festo CMSX positioner with 4-20mA feedback for flow control
applications.

  • Single or double acting actuator
  • Threaded or flanged
  • Brass, stainless steel or carbon steel
  • BSP connection standard (weld end available)
  • Manual valve with lever or supplied complete with actuator
  • Optional feedback and control components
  • L or T port configuration
  • High temperature and Fire safe versions (API 607)

Butterfly valves

Festo
butterfly valves are available pre-assembled with DAPS actuators to provide
reliable shut-off solutions for the process industry. The DAPS quarter turn
actuators are compact and have high torque characteristics perfectly matched
with Festo butterfly valves. The torque is generated via a scotch yoke
mechanism permitting backlash free operation and accurate valve control. The
DAPS also has an industry standard NAMUR interface for direct mounting of
solenoid control valves and sensor boxes for controlled feedback.

  • Manually operated
  • Wafer and lugged flange types
  • Cast iron or stainless steel body
  • Various seat materials for different media (EPDM, NBR, FPM, PTFE
    & FDA approved)
  • Control and feedback options

Knife gate valves

Knife
gate valves from Festo meet high quality standards and provide reliable,
non-clogging solutions for shut off applications. When combined with linear
actuator series DLP, they offer precise control and low cost operation compared
to electric actuators. One key benefit of the actuator profile unique to Festo
is the sensor slots which perfectly mount sensors quickly and easily onto the
actuator to sense the gate valve position. The DLP also has an industry
standard NAMUR interface for direct mounting of solenoid control valves to the
actuator. Festo knife-gate valves can also be fitted with DFPI linear
positioners which include the actuator, linear transducer and an integrated
position controller in a single enclosure. This provides a very compact
solution that is immune to moisture, dust and aggressive atmospheres.

  • Cast iron or stainless steel body
  • Semi-lugged or lugged flange styles
  • Optional flanges
  • Various seat options (Nitrile, EPDM, FPM, PTFE or Metal)
  • Control and feedback options

In addition to the comprehensive range of process valves already on
offer, Festo has extended its capabilities even further offering a polymer
valve range and hygienic valves to suit specific applications. To find out more
