Backplane Systems Technology introduces a new tablet from Winmate
featuring a rugged design and delivering high performance with low power
Designed specifically for industrial applications, Winmate’s new M101B
high brightness rugged Windows tablet uses the latest Intel Celeron N2930 1.83
GHz quad-core Bay Trail processor, and is equipped with a 10.1″ high resolution
1920 x 1200 IPS LED display offering 700 nits sunlight readability.
Built for reliable operation in harsh industrial environments, the IP65
rated M101B tablet can withstand a wide range of temperatures from -20¡C to
60¡C (AC mode) and -10¡C to 50¡C (Battery mode). Additionally, the tablet is
resistant to shock, vibration and accidental drops (4 feet drop certified),
making it highly suitable for industry.
Key features of the M101B rugged tablets include a 10.1″ optically
bonded 700 nits screen allowing use in environments where harsh sunlight can
affect usability; multi-touch projective capacitive touchscreen, enabling users
to take full advantage of the Windows operating environment; lightweight,
ergonomic design; built-in Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n; and built-in
light sensor, G sensor, gyrometer, and E-compass.
The M101B can be used with several accessories to expand its
functionality, including the 3G/4G functionality that enables the tablet to be
adapted to a wide range of industrial and field applications, as well as an optional
1D/2D barcode scanner or HF RFID reader. The hot-swappable 5300 mAh battery
makes the tablet ideal for the work environment as it allows the user to swap
out the battery when needed, reducing downtime and the need to keep recharging
