Suhner releases smaller grinders for precise grinding

Suhner (Australia) introduces a new range of compact grinders featuring
a lightweight, lean and ergonomic design to meet fine grinding requirements.

Featuring a transverse grinding function, Suhner’s new power file UMB
4-RQ is ideal for grinding in hard-to-access places such as corners, grooves and
narrow slots. The compact abrasive attachment achieves clean grinding results
even in the smallest of corners.

Designed to handle well during operation, the new power file enables dimensional
and geometric precision and surface quality to be obtained even in challenging applications.
The grinder is powered by a compact and lightweight motor delivering 270 W.

Key features of the new Suhner UMB 4-RQ power files include 8mm stroke allowing
continuous adjustment from 1500 to 3750 rpm; efficient ventilation keeping the
motor at a low temperature in its compact housing; additional insulation in
stator winding protecting against dust particles in airflow; special adjusting
system in the gearing minimising vibrations, counteracting wear and optimising
quiet operation for extra boost to service life; and digital constant power
electronics unit regulating the motor speed and keeping it constant even under
high load.

Depending on the application, the speed can be varied over a wide range
at the fine adjusting wheel. The digital electronics are fitted as standard
with starting current limitation, overload and undervoltage protection, and
restart prevention.

Suhner UMB 4-RQ power files can be used with various abrasives including
coarse, medium, and very fine VA grinding disks in grain sizes of 60, 120, 180,
240, 320, and 400 as well as nonwoven grinding discs for decorative finishing.
The available abrasives are for steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and
nonferrous metals.
