Rydell releases new food friendly belting solution

Rydell Industrial (Belting) Co has introduced a new conveyor belting product from Ammeraal
Beltech, combining a light weight structure with high strength.

The next-generation
conveyor belts from Ammeraal Beltech, the uni ULB belts (Ultra Light Belt) deliver
versatility and functionality across several markets, particularly food
processing where they combine food safety, hygiene and easy maintenance and
cleaning features with power, energy and cost savings.

Ammeraal Beltech’s
Food Industry Segment Manager, Giuseppe Allais explained that they wanted to
create an all-round economical solution for light- to medium-duty applications,
particularly in foods, where hygiene and ease of cleaning were important
requirements. The new uni ULB belt is ideal for handling raw foods, especially
poultry and fish as well as sandwiches, ready meals, French fries and packaged
salads.

The uni ULB belt’s pin/hinge
belt structure can be easily removed and reused, simplifying maintenance while
the lightweight belt makes handling much less labour-intensive. The uni ULB conveyor
belts are also very well suited to non-food packaging, especially in
applications that demand moderate speeds and low-impact processing.

Part of Ammeraal Beltech’s
established uni belting range, the uni ULB belt is compatible with a wide range
of accessories including flights, sideguards and sprockets.

Ideal for A to B
transport conveyors at a loading of less than 1000kg on a 1m wide conveyor, and
pro rata for narrower-width belts, the uni ULB belt can be ‘a real game changer
in many different product and geographical markets across the globe – at a
remarkably low cost’ according to Giuseppe Allais.
