Rydell is the exclusive Australian agent for process
and conveyor belting solutions provider, Ammeraal Beltech.
Ammeraal Beltech worked with the panel board and wood
processing industry segments to create an infeed belt for conti-presses that
improves efficiency, is easy to install, and offers an extended service life. The
company’s innovative ZipLink belt system has progressed from concept to proven
global solution in just two years, with installations on every continent. The
system attracted considerable interest recently at this year’s PELICE
Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Greater efficiency, easier
ZipLink belts are designed to solve a major issue with
traditional continuous belts in the panel board industry. Normally constructed
from PVC or PU, and installed on site with the aid of a welding press,
traditional belts withstand only 110¡C temperatures, are difficult to splice,
and have a short lifetime. The alternative, an endless woven belt, takes around
eight hours and a team of four to five people to change when required.
Ammeraal Beltech’s ZipLink belts feature a
specially-designed ‘spiral’ link made of high quality polyester monofilament
with a Silam silicone impregnation. They are continuous and seamless, and the innovative
quick splicing method allows the installation of a seamless belt without the
need to disassemble the processing machine. They can be installed by just two
people within two hours.
Key benefits of Ammeraal Beltech’s ZipLink belts also
include ability to handle high temperature applications above 200¡C; ability to
handle an 8mm nosebar; quick repair enabled in the event of accidents on the
processing line; and increased service life and cost savings.
