Interworld Electronics releases rugged fanless ultra compact embedded controllers from Aaeon

Interworld Electronics introduces a new range of ultra compact embedded
controllers from Aaeon designed for advanced computing applications in
space-constrained locations.

One of the world’s slimmest fanless embedded computers at just 20mm in thickness,
Aaeon’s AEC-6402 ultra compact embedded controller packs a surprising amount of
processing power.

Feature highlights of the AEC-6402 ultra compact embedded controllers include
an energy efficient Intel Atom N2600 1.60GHz processor and Intel NM10 chipset allowing
up to 2GB of DDR3 1066 SDRAM; 12V DC power input; two USB 2.0 ports, two
Gigabit Ethernet port, one CAN Bus port and two RS-232/422/485 serial ports; and
RJ-45 connectors for all Ethernet and serial connections.

A half-size mini-SATA connection is provided for high speed, solid state
data storage and processing in addition to a mini HDMI link for High-Definition
multimedia output. An optional wireless network module is also available.

The ultra compact embedded controller measures only 136mm x 79.6mm x
20mm. Key features also include solid brushed aluminium enclosure with rugged,
vibration-resistant and lightweight characteristics; operating temperature
range of 0¡C ~ 50¡C with appropriate airflow; and DIN-Rail and VESA mounting
options allowing flexible installation.

The highly efficient design of the AEC-6402 ultra compact embedded
controllers will be appreciated by system integrators working with factory/
machine automation, digital signage, home automation, in-vehicle computing,
environment monitoring and surveillance applications.
