Hylec Controls releases concrete compression and flexure test machine

Hylec Controls introduces a new concrete compression and flexure test
machine, Mega 6 from Form+Test, a German manufacturer specialising in high quality
material testing machines and test systems for over 55 years.

The Mega 6 is used for conducting compression and flexure strength tests
on concrete cylinders, cubes and cores as well as concrete beams and natural
stone specimens.

Featuring a very sturdy 4-column frame with minimal deflection, the Mega
6 compression and flexure test machine has a spherical top platen that will
align to offset samples as well as samples, which are not completely flat,
helping to perform the strain cylinder stability test. The Mega 6 also includes
a bending test frame on the side.

The compression frame provides high accuracy (grade A) force measurement
across the full testing range of over 100 to 1 load, while the bending frame is
equipped with a double-action test cylinder and an electronic load cell
insensitive to lateral forces.

The Mega 6 can also be upgraded for testing
strain measurements in concrete, including E Modulus, Poisson’s ratio, and
deflection measurements in beams.
