HYDAC’s KineSys electric cylinders enabling easy implementation of linear movements

The new HEZ electric cylinders from HYDAC present the perfect solution
for simple implementation of linear movements in various machines. Using a
screw driver, the rotation of its electric motor is converted into linear
movements that can have various positioning forces, speeds and duty cycles.

HYDAC’s KineSys HEZ electric cylinders allow various types of drives to be
selected, ranging from a simple drive to a high precision positioning drive.
They all have different connections for the electric motor, offering diverse
installation variants.

Key features of the KineSys electric cylinders include positioning force
up to 25kN, dynamic; positioning speeds up to 1 m/s; stroke up to 2000mm,
freely selectable; duty cycle up to 100%, depending on the version; and flexibility
to install various sensors to determine the position.

Options include pivot bracket, eye at the rear, limit switch, and control
(contractor control, frequency inverter and servo controller).

A wide range of electric cylinder designs can be supplied including rod
end bearing on the piston rod, cylinder with attached motors and pivot bearing
pins and customised versions.

HYDAC’s KineSys electric cylinders are available in three versions with
each variant differing in the way the drive is attached to the HEZ unit: The
drive is mounted at a right angle to the electric cylinder; the drive is
mounted in line with the electric cylinder; and the drive is mounted in
parallel to the electric cylinder.

HYDAC’s HEZ electric cylinders deliver multiple advantages including
zero maintenance requirement; excellent environmental compatibility; low noise
operation; and customisable stroke length, compact drive unit and possible
self-locking options.
