How to increase high speed door safety

DMF International offers visual safety features for their high speed
roll doors to protect users as well as the doors.

Rapid roller doors are increasingly being adopted as an effective climate
control solution in Australian warehouses and docks. Operating with opening speeds
of over 3m/second and closing speeds usually set at half the opening speed, these
fast action doors require adequate safety devices to prevent incidents.

In addition to electronic safety sensors, DMF can supply a full width
clear vision safety window and a Hi-Vis skirt for their high speed doors.

Clear vision safety windows

The panel for the full width clear vision safety window is constructed
independent of the main panel allowing ease of replacement. Unlike some door
models on the market that only use small window sections within the panel, DMF
doors offer a full width clear window, resulting in increased vision across the
door. The clear window is an important feature for openings used by pedestrians
and forklift traffic.

Hi-Vis skirt

An optional Hi-Vis skirt on the bottom rail provides an increased visual
safety feature to the rapid roll door. These can also be useful in noisy
locations where the operating door may not be heard.

DMF can also supply a large range of optional
safety sensors.
