Case Study: QLD piling and foundation systems company installs new Ezi-Duct welding fume extraction system

A new Ezi-Duct welding fume extraction system was installed at a leading
Queensland-based company specialising in the fabrication of residential piling
and foundation systems.

The company installed eight 4-metre Ezi-Arm fume arms; the Ezi-Duct modular
ducting system; and a high efficiency Ezi-Duct CBS400 centrifugal fan that
produces up to 9000 m¬≥/h @ 1500 pa. The fan was mounted on the factory’s roof.

Ezi-Duct recommends its Ezi-Arm fume arms as the best technical solution
for the effective removal of welding fumes from fabrication areas. The Ezi-Arm fume
arm hood can be flexibly placed in an infinite number of positions to capture
the harmful smoke and fumes generated by the welding process.

Ezi-Arm fume arms have no internal parts that could cause turbulence in
the fume arm’s airflow, helping them deliver greater performance than other
fume arms on the market. The fume arm is also fitted with a damper that the operator
can use to adjust and control the amount of suction at the fume arm’s capture hood.

Ezi-Arm fume arms are available in 2.2m, 3.0m and 4.0m models and
supplied standard with a heavy duty wall bracket.

Australia’s leading supplier of dust collection
equipment, Ezi-Duct offers a huge range of dust collectors, fume extractors,
modular ducting, flexible ducting, fume arms, fans and spray booths among
others ex-stock at their three state branches in Melbourne, Sydney and
Brisbane. Ezi-Duct is a proud Australian Manufacturer and proudly displays the
Made in Australia logo.
