Case Study: Installing dust extraction systems at Broulee High School

Leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of dust collectors and fume
extraction equipment, Ezi-Duct supplied a new dust extraction system at Broulee
Catholic High School.

The dust collection system located outside the building was connected to
27 woodworking machines in the manual arts classrooms at the school.

Ezi-Duct supplied and installed two new Australian designed Polex
eCompact 6000 dust collectors along with an Ezi-Duct modular steel ducting
system and Ezi-Flex flexible ducting.

The Polex eCompact 6000 dust collector has a suction power of 6000 m³/h
@ 3000 pa and works under negative pressure, eliminating any possibility of
dirty air passing through the high efficiency, energy saving 7.5 kW fan.

The dust collector automatically cleans all the filter bags within the
unit every time it is shut down, via a PLC incorporated into the control panel supplied
with the unit. This performance feature ensures the dust collector operates at
100% efficiency each time the dust extraction system is used.

Polex has also designed the eCompact 6000 dust collector to deposit the collected
waste wood dust and shavings directly into two 240L wheelie bins, ensuring the
waste is removed from the dust collector easily without any heavy lifting
required. This feature not only simplifies operation but also eliminates any
OH&S issue associated with emptying the waste bins.

Australia’s leading supplier of dust collection equipment, Ezi-Duct
offers a huge range of dust collectors, fume extractors, modular ducting,
flexible ducting, fume arms, fans and spray booths among others ex-stock. Ezi-Duct
operates branches in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and is a proud Australian Manufacturer.
