Aussie ups Kubota production

Australian Pump Industries has dramatically ramped up production of
Kubota diesel powered pumps at their 2.5-hectare facility in Castle Hill.

Aussie Pumps manufactures the complete range of top quality Kubota diesel
engine powered pumps including fire fighting pumps, 3″ and 4″ transfer pumps, and
specialist tanker pumps. Savings from the large scale production are being
passed on to customers with Aussie dealers reporting increased interest in the
range.

Aussie Pumps’ product manager Brad Farrugia comments that the company is
committed to a cost down program that delivers top value to their customers,
especially Aussie farmers who are facing difficult conditions this season.
Powered by 6HP and 9.5HP OC series Kubota engines, the pumps deliver great
torque, economy, and performance.

The Kubota OC series engines use the ACTV (Advanced Cooling Three
Vortex) system wherein the combustion chamber is oil cooled and the cylinder is
air cooled. The ACTV system ensures the engines are quieter, have minimal
vibration and run cooler, with the benefits leading to longer engine life and
lower maintenance costs.

According to Farrugia, pump operators understand the benefits of diesel engines
in terms of sustained performance, great torque and excellent fuel economy, which
translate into significant savings for the operators who can move more water
with less fuel, and also have the bonus of lower ongoing engine service costs.

The Kubota powered high pressure and high flow pumps range includes the
award-winning Aussie Fire Chief. Considered Australia’s best engine drive
portable fire pump, Aussie Fire Chief delivers more water at high pressure
because of its huge ‘big belly’ body and 7_Ó diameter, single piece heavy duty
impeller. The pump’s big 2″ bolt-on flanged suction port lets more water into
the pump, improving performance by reducing friction loss. Fire Chief fire
pumps are powered by 6HP and 9.5HP Kubota diesel engines.

The Aussie range of Kubota powered pumps also includes 3″ and 4″ gushers,
which are large pumps suitable for fast water transfer applications including
tanker filling, dam water management and site dewatering. The electric start pumps
come mounted in heavy duty galvanised steel frames and galvanised steel
sub-bases with anti-vibration mounts.

Specialised tanker pumps manufactured by Aussie Pumps using Kubota
engines are fitted with solenoids to enable remote control operation. Supplied
on a galvanised base, the pumps are available in high pressure or high flow
options, and are suitable for dust suppression and fast fill tanker
applications.

Aussie Pumps has been able to achieve price reductions on these pumps,
up to 25% on some models, by bulk buying diesel engines and substantially
increasing production volumes.

Similar to all Aussie Quik Prime pumps, the Kubota
powered range comes with a free exclusive 5-year extended pump end warranty,
while the engine is supported by Kubota Australia’s 2-year engine warranty.
