Australian Pump Industries employees were back at work early after a
short summer vacation, in view of the escalating bushfire risk around the country.
Key staff of the Aussie Pump team returned between Christmas and New Year with production
teams coming back in early January.
Aussie Pump’s Brad Farrugia explained that the prevailing conditions of
40-degree temperatures and catastrophic fires in Western Australia, South
Australia and Victoria led to staff returning early to ensure continued support
for farmers, dealers and firefighting authorities with the world-leading Aussie
Fire Chief portable fire pumps.
Introduced almost 20 years ago, the Aussie Fire Chief has gone through
several enhancements with the portable lightweight fire pumps becoming a major
Australian export success story in the markets of North America, Europe, South
East Asia and Africa.
Aussie Fire Chief is the only portable high pressure fire pump in the
world that comes with a 5-year warranty, reflecting the company’s confidence in
the product and in its top quality engineering.
Given the extreme fire conditions around the country with large sections
of Eastern New South Wales, Western Victoria, Southern Queensland, Western
Australia and South Australia exceeding normal potential for major fires,
Aussie Pump is distributing their Aussie Fire Smart Survival Guide for free to property
owners and customers. The guide emphasises the many facets of bushfire preparation
including both livestock and crop protection.
Aussie Pump’s Honda powered firefighting pump range, based on the Aussie
Fire Chief concept extends right up to big twin impeller pumps, with the twins
running off 13hp Honda petrol engines to suit the needs of professional users
with large applications. Pumps are also available with electric start options
to enable users to start the pump quickly in an emergency.
The company’s heavy duty diesel drive fire pumps range from 4.8hp systems
right up to the heavy duty Brigade Boss Series, which offers high pressure and
high flow, and is capable of providing a different dimension in firefighting
capability to the standard generic fire pumps.
Free documentation is available on the Aussie Pump range, including the
Fire Smart Survival Guide and a handy Fire Pump Selection data sheet that shows
how to make sure the right pump is selected for the consumer’s individual bushfire
