AMS releases reagentless free chlorine analyser

AMS Instrumentation and Calibration introduces the ECD FC80, a panel
mounted, ready to use free chlorine analyser designed to monitor residual
chlorine in drinking water, industrial cooling and rinse water, wastewater or
other fresh water samples containing chlorine.

The new reagentless free chlorine analyser monitors free chlorine in
water samples in the range of 0.05 to 20 ppm Cl2 (High Range) or 0.01 to 5 ppm
Cl2 (Low Range).

Featuring a plug-and-play design, the FC80 free chlorine analyser incorporates
a flow control device, a pH sensor, a chlorine sensor and a T80 transmitter conveniently
mounted on a PVC panel. The FC80 free chlorine analyser is calibrated at the
factory before shipment and additional calibrations can be accomplished by DPD
comparison.

The reagentless design of AMS’ FC80 free chlorine analysers eliminates
the need for reagents, instead using the FC80’s sensor technology and automatic
pH compensation to keep the cost of ownership low. The automatic flow control
and large flow tubes and cells greatly reduce clogs and blockages in the
analyser, allowing for easy cleaning.

Compliant with EPA
Method 334.0, FC80 free chlorine analysers have a panel mounted system and can
be easily installed. T80 analyser capability include TDual Measurements (2) 4
to 20 mA output, MODBUS and/or HART communication, (3) alarm relays, 24 VDC or
110/220 AC power. The auto cleaning option keeps the chlorine clean from
contaminates for an extended period of time.
