AMS releases new panel mounted workstation

AMS Instrumentation and Calibration announces the launch of the new MC6
Workstation, a new and advanced panel-mounted calibrator and communicator from Beamex.

Equipment in the modern process industry is often calibrated out in the
field. However, there are many advantages to performing maintenance and
calibration tasks in the workshop, including access to a controlled
environment, which enables better accuracy for calibration work. Additionally, the
equipment is always available and ready to use.

Beamex specialises in the manufacture of versatile, modular workshop
calibration benches. Their latest MC6 Workstation is designed to raise the
calibration and communicator capabilities of the Beamex workshop offering to a
whole new level. Offering calibration capabilities for pressure, temperature
and various electrical signals, the device also contains a full fieldbus
communicator for use with HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and Profibus PA
instruments. The MC6 Workstation is part of the Beamex Integrated Calibration
Solutions (ICS) offering.

The MC6 Workstation’s usability is a major advantage: A large 5.7″
colour touchscreen featuring a multilingual user interface enables simple
operation. The operational modes include Meter, Calibrator, Documenting
Calibrator, Data Logger and Fieldbus Communicator. The ergonomic design of the
panel-mounted MC6 Workstation also makes it ideal for pharmaceuticals, energy,
oil and gas, food and beverage and the service industry, as well as the
petrochemical and chemical industries.

Key features of the MC6
Workstation include multiple operational modes in a single device allowing fast
and easy operation; ability to communicate with automatic pressure controllers
and temperature blocks enabling fully automatic calibration; and fully
automated and paperless calibration and documentation enabled by the unit’s
capability to communicate with Beamex CMX calibration management software.
