The inaugural Queensland Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (QMAN) is shaping-up to be a leading event on the Queensland calendar with multiple industry sectors represented.
In particular the event will display a strong focus on an ever expanding range of welding products and accessories available for today's manufacturing environment.
Products on display will cover a range of welding applications including welding equipment and consumables, gas equipment, laser welding and cutting, cutting and preparation, inspection testing, and repair and maintenance.
Epitech will be demonstrating both capacitor discharge (CD) and Arc stud welding machines. The company will also have on display the full Arcfix range of both CD and Arc products, threaded arc studs, shear connectors and welding gun consumables.
Hard Metal Industries will feature its product range which includes tungsten carbide grit, sintered tiles and powders and hard facing welding wires suitable for ground engaging equipment such as earthmoving equipment, mining tools, agricultural implements and drillers.
Burley Engineering will be highlighting its automated systems for welding, cutting, palletising, assembly and coating. These systems usually include one or more industrial robots.
Weldmaster Industries' new Master Mig range of Mig welders will be on display. The range consists of seven models from 170amp up to 350amp with all models suited to Australian conditions. Compact and portable wire feeder models with two roll and four roll geared drive wire feeding ensures the constant ultimate current for welding.
Nitto Kohki Australia will have on display its range of magnetic base drills and machine tools for engineering, pneumatic tools and quick release couplings including a safety series. A feature of the display will be the WA-3500 which is capable of making cuts up to 35mm diameter through 35mm plate.
In addition to the range of products on display the Welding Technology Institute of Australia (WTIA) will stage its Technology Week which incorporates the Annual Conference, and SMART Industry Groups and Approved Training Bodies Centres of Excellence meetings.
A gala dinner, to be attended by representatives of the Queensland Government, will also be staged at which the Welder of the Year will be announced.
