Waterjet cutting machine monitoring system

TECHNI Automation will be displaying for the first time, the "VacSence" abrasive monitoring system fitted to a Techjet waterjet cutting machine.

This unique system will continually monitor the performance of the cutting head and detect problems such as garnet blockages, worn focusing tubes or damaged sapphires.

The cutting program will be halted should a problem be detected saving valuable material and preventing damage to the machine. This makes "Lights Out" operations a reality, something previously not possible on an abrasive Waterjet cutting machine.

Techni Automation specialises in the design, development and installation of complete waterjet cutting solutions. The power of water, pressurized to 60,000 psi and then mixed with an abrasive medium, is capable of cutting almost any material known to man, and powerful enough to cut through 100mm of stainless steel.

Manufactured in Melbourne, the two-dimensional Techjet waterjet profile cutting machine is available in six standard envelope sizes ranging from 1200 x 600mm to 3600 x 6000mm.

Also on display will be a fully operational Techjet, cutting out samples in various materials, including, glass, stainless steel, aluminium, gasket materials, brass, and any material you might care to bring along for a demo.
