INDUSTRIAL cleaning equipment manufacturer Retorque has announced a new range of Apollo automatic spray washes. The new models incorporate major changes designed to significantly reduce machine servicing time and improve operating efficiency.
The machines are available in three sizes with 800mm, 1000mm, or 1400mm basket diameters.
All Spray Wash models now include the following additional unique features:
· Automatic pump out of the waste-water using the built-in wash pump. By opening the pump-out valve on the rear of the machine and pressing the start button the tank can be pumped to waste through more than 50 metres of hose in minutes.
· The pump suction inlet is now located underneath the tank floor. The tank floor falls to the pump suction sump to allow the tank to be pumped dry.
· The basket is secured by one bolt and only needs to be lifted at the front and fixed to the spray bar during servicing. Access to the tank for cleaning is better on all models, and a pump suction strainer/weir prevents solids being recirculated. Full access to the tank now allows cleaning to be carried out by means of a squeegee and dustpan.
· The machines are now fitted with either an element protection thermostat to prevent element bum-out as a result of low water level, or an electronic water level control to maintain the optimum water level automatically.
On the 1400mm model the water jet basket drive has been superceded by a mechanical drive at a fixed 5rpm. This low speed drive will prevent damage from basket overspeed and a potential OH&S liability.
The mechanical basket drive enables additional water to be supplied to the spray bar and will improve the machine's total cleaning power by more than 50 per cent. Retorque 02 6765 7600.
