THE new multifunctional laser MF 100 UV is used for the highly precise processing of ceramics, plastics and metal. Precise structures (cut-outs, holes and cavities in various materials as well as two-dimensional structures in layers and foils) with dimensions smaller than 100μm are increasingly required for applications in the fields of electronics, optoelectronics, sensor technology and analytics.
Up to now, the laser production of such micro structures has often been uneconomical or impossible especially in materials highly transparent or reflective for the Nd:YAG laser.
The new multifunctional laser MF 100 UV combines a strong Q-switched UV-laser source with a high-precision XY-table system. In a working range of 100mm x 100mm, structures down to 20μm width can be generated with approximately 1μm repeatability. Electro Optics 02 9654 1873.
