Sybase appoints new director of Head of Channel Sales and Alliances, Asia Pacific

Sybase, a leading provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software has appointed Stuart Fisher as director of Channel Sales and Alliances, Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Stuart will head Sybase's Channel & Alliances teams across the Asia Pacific region.

He will work with each of the general managers and country managers across the region to develop strategies, programs and initiatives designed to drive incremental revenue through the Sybase partner community. Stuart will report directly to Barrie Sheers, Sybase's senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific.

"At Sybase, we see our partners as an extension of our existing sales team and our goal is to become the vendor of choice for the Asia Pacific partner community," said Barrie Sheers.

"The appointment of Stuart Fisher to this important position provides a leader for the company's new initiative to expand support to our network of partners across the region."

Stuart has over 15 years experience in the IT industry in general management, senior sales and marketing roles.

During that time, he has focused on IT infrastructure and ERP software solutions, selective IT outsourcing, project management, mobility and m-Banking initiatives, including five years in Asia Pacific with SAP AG.

Stuart is experienced in providing enterprise IT solutions across several industry sectors, including banking and finance, manufacturing, telecommunications, services, defence, government and education.

He holds an MBA degree from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, in Sydney Australia.
