Robotic top-loader case packer
THE Speedy 30 robotic top loader case packer available from RenoPak, can be used for a wide variety of products in the food, confectionery and detergent fields.
Manufactured in Italy by Zucchini, the Speedy 30 can handle thermo-formed trays, pouches and pillow bags with ease by utilising many ‘picking heads’.
The machine consists of four mechanical units connected by conveyor belts: the FC15 case opening unit, the synchro high speed collator, a pick and place robot system, and an IC 22 sealing/closing unit.
This arrangement means the system is more flexible, allowing it to fit into almost every layout. The changeover is simple and intuitive and takes place more quickly, as does the mechanical maintenance.
The robot system is composed of a robotic top loader made by ABB , with dual axis control. The robot takes the products from the pockets in the synchro collator and transfers them into the cases. The robot’s stroke, track and speed can be changed easily and are controlled via software.
The shape of the picking heads depends on the characteristics and peculiarity of the product. The picking heads are equipped with special sensors that check if the products have been picked correctly. If a case has not been filled completely, it is identified and rejected before it reaches the case sealer.
The Speedy 30 can be fitted with multiple heads, for the loading of two or more cases at the same time. RenoPak also design and manufacture a robotic palletiser system in Australia, which can be custom built to suit factory layout, and could include automatic pallet dispensers, finish stack pallet wrappers and custom designed pick up head.
The extensive range of end-of-line and intermediate packaging equipment offered by RenoPak also includes shrink and stretch wrappers, case packers, vacuum tray packs, automatic high speed bag filling lines and bag palletisers. RenoPak 02 9618 7077.
