Range of panel mounted pneumatic valves launched
Parker Hannifin (Australia) has announced the release of a new range of panel mounted pneumatic valves suitable for applications in mining, processing and metal reduction industries.
Parker PXB-B3 Series valves feature modular construction that lets the user mix and match normally closed and normally open valves with push buttons and lever actuators. Further, electrical switches may be piggybacked onto the valves making the control of pneumatic as well as electrical circuits possible with a single push button or a single lever actuator.
Once the valves and actuators are installed, the control panel of the pneumatic console is indistinguishable from an electrical one. Therefore, users who prefer to use pneumatic controls are not disadvantaged in the aesthetics or the ergonomics of their control console. Valves and actuators in this range are free of aluminium, an important feature for applications in underground coal mines.
Push buttons are offered with flush, extended and mushroom heads in spring return and latching types in several colours. Lever operators are offered in two and three position types featuring stay-put or spring centred functions.
As the valves and actuators are designed to clip onto each other without the use of tools, installation is said to be easy and less costly. Further, with up to three pneumatic valves plus up to three electrical switches controlled from a single actuator, the PXB-B3 Series makes for cost saving not available with earlier systems.
Parker PXB-B3 Series panel mounted valves are factory lubricated and require no additional lubrication in service.
