Quadtel supplies ADSL modems to iPrimus
Quadtel has reached an agreement with iPrimus to become the preferred supplier of ADSL modems to the ISP in line with recent forays into the retail broadband market.
Under the agreement, Quadtel’s ADSL modems will be used internally by iPrimus to support their fast-growing broadband division, adding an extra $1.5 million in revenue to Quadtel’s financial ledger, according to Quadtel ceo Rodney Orrock.
“The agreement extends and consolidates a valuable relationship with a very successful ISP,” Orrock said.
“We have worked with iPrimus to introduce the ‘Broadband in a Box’ mass retail product into Harvey Norman and, with our extensive vendor partnerships, we can offer iPrimus the best of breed quality ADSL equipment available and more importantly we can provide choice.”
“I should add that every modem that sells in the ‘Broadband in a Box’ product has been supplied initially by Quadtel,” Orrock said.
Orrock said the deal also reinforces Quadtel’s position as the leading end-to-end distribution company in Australia.
“The challenge now is to maintain that position and continue our impressive growth,” Orrock added.
