Standard revises conveyor operation
The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) has published a revision to its industry standard for conveyor troughing and return idlers. The revision is CEMA Standard 502–2004 "Bulk Material Belt Conveyor Troughing and Return Idlers, Selection and Dimensions." This revision of the 2001 version of the standard, adds a new CEMA F Class Idler along with its associated dimensional, load ratings and capacities. Other items of interest include reformatted tables for all troughing, picking and return idler classes along with a reformatted and easier-to-read load rating along with capacity tables. www.cemanet.org

The Industrial Truck Association (ITA) is now providing links to OSHA's Web site, providing one-click access to specific industrial truck operation regulations. ITA's site also offers a link to an OSHA checklist of daily safety standards for industrial truck operators.
