New belt conveyors guide

WITH over 2,200 copies sold since its April 2005 introduction, the internationally acclaimed 6th edition of Belt Conveyors for Bulk Materials, is now available in both CD and print format.

The updated second printing incorporates many new application photos and application specific clarifications related to belt tension and power engineering, as well as editorial changes compiled from user input.

The second print version expands and improves elements addressed in the initial printing, with greatly improved accuracy for the formula used to calculate power requirements. This feature alone makes it the internationally accepted standard for conveyor power calculations, according to the publisher the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA).

Other significant documentation incorporated in the 6th edition includes limitless length/width combinations of bulk conveyor belt design parameters. This feature provides modern methodology for developing proper tension balances on segmented conveyors of significant length.

All charts and equations are now formatted in a manner conducive to computer programming making engineering calculation and analysis quick and effortless.

Additional features of the advanced and updated second print version include previously developed chapters that address safety, best practices for maintenance, and belt cleaning and sealing, an industry first guide to recommended design for belt feeders and power requirements.

The fully updated second print 6th edition of the Belt Conveyors for Bulk Materials, is a must have source book for technicians and engineers associated with the design, manufacture, or service of bulk conveyors or components.
