National Manufacturing Week (NMW), Australia’s premier trade exposition for the manufacturing industry, will open its doors at Darling Harbour next Tuesday to an anticipated record attendance of industry decision-makers.
NMW this year has expanded to encompass eleven individual manufacturing exhibitions, making the event the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
Since its launch in 2000, this annual exhibition, which alternates between Melbourne and Sydney, has experienced continued growth.
This year, the exhibition will be held between June 1 and 4 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The event’s umbrella will cover two new segments: the Futuresafe Conference and Exhibition, and the Pneumatics and Hydraulics Exhibition.
Organised by the National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA), Futuresafe is Australia’s largest and most established conference for occupational health and safety, and risk management professionals. The Futuresafe Exhibition will showcase the latest products and technologies aimed at improving safety for both personnel and assets.
The introduction of a dedicated Pneumatics and Hydraulics Exhibition was driven by visitor interest and offers a vendor-specific view of the versatility of modern industrial pneumatics and hydraulics; a growing market segment.
A strong international presence will also be a highlight at NMW 2004 with major displays from China, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, as well as attendees from Poland.
For the first time NMW will feature a dedicated New Zealand exhibit supported by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise as part of the organisation’s role in assisting New Zealand businesses grow their international competitiveness, profitability and capabilities.
In addition to the above, the following events will fall under NMW 2004:
