Loop powered pressure sensors

IFM efector has introduced a range of loop-powered pressure sensors, the PL and PM series.

The sensors are characterised by important features including a wide range of process fittings (e.g. Varivent, SMA, RJT, IDF and DIN 11851) and full certification in accordance with USA standards (3A) and the European Hygienic Equipment Design Group (EHEDG).

The PL and PM pressure switches are suitable for liquids with temperatures ranging from -25°C to +85°C (PS series) and to +125°C (continuous operation) or up to +145°C for a maximum of one hour (PM series).

Four pressure ranges are offered, namely 0-100kPa, 0-250kPa, 0-1MPa and 0-2.5MPa. Sensor bodies are manufactured from 316 stainless steel, and have an IP65 III environmental rating.

IFM efector has also introduced a range of flange adaptors to suit its range of pressure sensors utilising innovative ceramic-cell technology, and measuring pressures ranging from 5kPa (0.05 bar) to 40MPa (400 bar).

Made from aluminium and brass, these adaptors allow vertical stack configurations frequently encountered in hydraulic power packs.

Fixing holes have a pitch of 29mm or 31.1mm, making the ifm efector flanges suitable in all standard stacking assemblies.

Flange/switch combinations for use with pressures to 1MPa (10 bar) have an IP65 rating. All other pressure ratings conform to IP67.

The switches have a minimum life of 100 x 106 switching cycles, and an operating temperature ranging from -25°C to +80°C.

Integral bargraph displays indicate pressure setting as well as current system pressure.
