’s KV-100 valve is designed for use with kettles and other swept surface batch cookers and blenders. It presents a flush surface to the inside of the cooker or blender.
The valve is normally supplied with an adaptor ring which is welded to the body of the cooker or its discharge door. The adaptor may be positioned so as to mount the valve either horizontally or vertically, the valve being simply attached to the ring using industry standard clamps. This method allows the valve to be fitted to either a new or an existing machine with no risk of damage to the valve and also simplifies spares holdings as all valve bodies are identical.
The KV-100 kettle discharge valve does not protrude into the cooker and has no dead spaces in which product can stagnate during cooking or blending. The valve has been designed to be compliant with the requirements of the USDA. This includes the provision of leak paths that clearly indicate the need to renew seals and which do not allow a build up of potentially dangerous contaminants. All wetted parts are either 316 Stainless Steel or food grade Teflon seals as appropriate. This valve is suitable for CIP as standard.
This new valve is useful wherever rapid and controlled discharge is required from a cooker or blender containing a flowable product. The valve has a nominal 100mm opening and is air operated within the range of 3 to 6 bar.
