DEXION has introduced the latest technology in mobile storage systems with the launch of the advanced Compactus Power3.
This 'smart', powered Compactus system, the first to be marketed in Australia, incorporates computerised technology for user-friendly operating flexibility, enhanced security for stored material, and unparalleled safety for operators.
The Compactus concept, developed by Dexion, is a mobile cabinet system that makes efficient use of all available space by doubling storage capacity for archive areas or creating additional workspace for the office environment.
With the ability to match any office decor, the system can be accessorised to support filing systems and create a tidy and efficient office environment.
The Compactus Power3 provides a range of intelligent operating functions, controlled and programmed from a user-friendly touch pad.
Programming is easy to understand and operate. The touch pad allows hands-full activation and is ADA approved, accommodating physically challenged individuals.
Programming through the touch pad enables adjustment of the stopping distance of the cabinets to accommodate storage of different materials, such as oversized items, thus protecting any protruding materials.
Secure access control is facilitated through the touch pad. Authority levels are easy to set and change.
Using programmable radio frequency transponder technology, the access control facility can be set to include ten individual security authorisation levels, guaranteeing security for files and stored material.
Users require no specialised training and do not need to memorise difficult-to-remember pass codes.
Reassignment of authorisations through the touch pad eliminates the necessity to refit locks and keys and avoids any operational downtime.
Touch pads can be mounted on each height to accommodate all users as well as being mounted on both sides of the mobile for dual access.
The computerised pads are self-diagnostic with LEDs informing the user of any malfunction, thus simplifying problem identification and cutting repair and service time.
In addition, the new Compactus offers a variety of other security functions and can be linked to fire alarms and climate control systems for added functionality, enabling automatic positioning of the mobiles, according to client requirements.
A night mode positioning system facilitates automatic positioning after closing for ventilation or security.
Employee safety has been paramount. The motor current monitoring system (MCMS) ensures immediate shutdown if resistance is encountered and the passive block system (PBS) ensures checking of the open aisle before allowing the aisle to be closed.
The PBS safety system detects power failures and protects users from accidental mobile movement when power is restored.
The unit supports other safety systems, including photocells at carriage levels, safety plinth, passive infrared motion detectors and automatic aisle lighting.
The computer-controlled powered function has been designed to facilitate vibration-free, slow and safe movement through the inclusion of 'soft start' and 'soft stop' characteristics, which ensure enough time for controlled reaction to mobile movement.
Compactus Power3 can be customised to the available space in an office or archive storage layout, with a variety of depths and lengths, up to a 12 metre base length, available. Load capacity is up to 10,000kg.
Seventeen steel colours and monoform finish options enable the new system to be matched to any office décor.
