Cognex has unveiled the in-sight 5600, which the company is calling the vision sensor. The in-sight 5600 offers the twice the processing speed and memory of the Cognex’s in-sight 5400 series, performing inspections at line rates that Cognex says no other vision sensors can match.
The new products open new opportunities for relatively low-cost quality control solutions on high-speed manufacturing lines, particularly in the packaging industry.
The in-sight 5600 line includes standard (640x480) resolution and 2-Mpixel (1600x1200) models.
All in-sight vision sensors have an IP67 (NEMA 4) rating to withstand dust and wash down without an accessory enclosure, and they include a library of vision software for inspection, identification, measurement, and alignment tasks.
