the kong kong electro- nics Fair 2006, opening this month at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, will host over 2,400 exhibitors.
Its Hall of Fame, which highlights brands of high reputation, acquires added lustre through expanded participation by globally renowned companies. Among the first time exhibitors in the Hall of Fame are Thomson, Alcatel, GE, INSTANT-DICT, Lenco, Motorola, Energy Sistem, ORION and ALITY.
They join established exhibitors such as Haier, Midea, Changhong, TCL, Hisense, GIEC, Galanz, Microdia, OTO Bodycare, Duracell and Panda.
In another significant expansion, two new product zones will be housed in the newly created Expo Drive Hall. It is expected that over 300 exhibitors will participate in the two new sections: Digital World and Home Tech. The sections, responding to increased buyer demand for a wider product range, have attracted an international mix of exhibiting countries and regions.
Another highlight of the 2006 Autumn Edition is the Technology Exchange Zone (formerly known as Frontiers of Brainpower). The revamped and expanded Technology Exchange Zone presents breakthrough research projects and ingenious prototypes which have strong market potential.
Several important seminars will be held during the fair. They will deal with contemporary issues such as green manufacturing and international regulatory procedures for the electronics industry.
