UK lighting manufacturer PFP has received Australian certification for its Petrel Series 7 AS hazardous area luminaire, marketed in Australia by Thorn Lighting.

The certificates have been issued to Thorn under a reciprocal agreement that exists between UK testing authorities and TestSafe Australia.

As part of this agreement, assessment and testing was conducted to the appropriate Australian Standards, and the findings reported to TestSafe Australia providing the necessary technical justification required for certification.

PFP's Petrel range of certified products consists of 8W, 18W, 36W, 58W AND 70W single or twin fluorescents and includes emergency luminaries up to 58W. Compact fluorescents are also included and the complete range is now certified to Australian Standards. Thorn Lighting 02 9725 9811.
