has partnered with Telecom New Zealand International Australia to offer Australian businesses secure links to their offices overseas. The solution, Connect Global Services, allows an organisation to integrate its office networks internationally.
The solution is suitable for manufacturing businesses seeking further cost efficiencies. As more and more manufacturing plants are based offshore, Connect Global Services allows onshore headquarters to communicate information to and from the plants quickly and securely.
Connect Global Services include:
* Global Frame Relay Service. A managed network solution that supports inter-office connections for high-speed data applications. It is primarily for customers with the need for multi-site, or 'any-to-any' connectivity around the world.
* Global ATM Service. Supports integrated broadband communications. It offers cost-effective, high-speed interconnection of multiple domestic and international customer sites.
* Global Private Line Service. Provides secure and permanent 'private line' connections internationally to move vital information across the globe securely.
Connect CEO David Glavonjic said Connect Global Services was a natural extension of its current domestic data services.
"We have worked with Telecom New Zealand International Australia to identify a number of international data services that will offer Connect customers secure, high-speed connectivity with their overseas offices."
Targeting multinational companies, Connect Global Services supports large, time-sensitive business applications such as inventory management, ERP and document imaging.
"Connect Global Services is ideal for customers who have operations spread around the world that need constant access to their company LAN. Or they might need higher bandwidth to share large files such as videos with their international sites," Mr Glavonjic said.
A typical Connect Global Services application would be a manufacturing company with its manufacturing plants based offshore, using Connect Global Services to send information to the production teams.
Inventory management would be improved as well as achieving real cost efficiencies. A single interface between the user and the network makes the service extremely user-friendly.
