OPTREL and Willson, brands of the Bacou-Dalloz Group, have developed a welding helmet with powered air respiratory protection said to allow welders to work in complete safety.
The unit is said to offer optimal protection against metal fumes and dust emitted during welding operations, delivering a constant air flow to the helmet with air being purified by a particulate filter.
For maximum safety, dual alarm indicators, audible and visual, are triggered whenever the air flow is insufficient, battery is low, or the filter is clogged or missing.
A short air duct on the welding helmet is said to provide a lightweight alternative with increased mobility, and the flame resistant air supply hose is also short, reducing the risk of snagging upon surrounding structures.
The OS100 is approved to AS/NZS 1716& AS/NZS 1337.
