The new Sykes extra head XH100 and XH150 pumps operate at standard engine speeds to achieve maximum delivery heads of 185m.
The self-prime diesel driven XH series has various material options available, and is fitted with a mechanical seal or packed gland, and a bearing bracket.
Sykes engineering Director Darren Coles said the robust pumps are designed to meet the challenges of heavy-duty mining and quarrying applications, especially as these operations go deeper.
“The units are fitted with stainless steel impellers and wear plates as standard, oversized bearings and an oversized shaft combined with the short overhang will supply excellent shaft stiffness to optimise bearing seal life,” Coles said.
Designed, built and tested at the company’s Newcastle, NSW plant, the units were recently launched at Minexpo.
Best efficiency points are: XH100 – 160m at 70L/sec; XH150 – 160m at 125L/sec.
