DIMAC Tooling will be releasing and demonstrating the Millwrite 2000 CNC engraving software at Austech 2001.
The Millwrite software is a Windows-based program which provides the means to upgrade lathes and CNC milling machines to an engraving capacity.
The software is available in three options.
The basic engraving package is suitable for engraving only on flat surfaces parallel to the milling table and produces two half axis NC programs and lifts the cutting tool up and down.
The second option enables spheres, cylinders, cones and ball shapes to be engraved. This program is also suited to lathes with live tooling and machining centres with a fourth axis.
The complete version is Millwrite with CAM module which provides pocketing and contouring and more advanced CAM features including fusing of geometry and producing CAM type offsets of geometry.
Millwrite Fontlink also enables a library of symbols to be created and AutoCAD DXF files and plotter files, such as a CAD program of a logo, to be converted to Millwrite fonts. A demonstration pack is available from Dimac on 03 9561 6155.
