Check Point Software has developed a new line of security products for managed service providers and telcos to on-sell to their customers in the small business and home office markets.
Both the new Safe@Home Pro and Safe@Office products offer users an intuitive Web interface as well as integrated firewall security, but the latter offers site-to-site VPN for up to 25 users while the Home version offers VPN access from the central corporate network, according to Check Point Technologies Australia and New Zealand regional director Peter Sandilands.
“What we are doing is bringing our award-winning enterprise-level security solutions down to the small business and home office level, while offering them the same level of security,” Sandilands said.
“These products are very specifically targeted at managed service providers and telcos, who can then on-sell the services to their smaller customers instead of those customers having to go out and buy the solution themselves.”
The Safe@Home product starts from US$399 while the Safe@Office ranges from US$599 up to US$1,199 for up to 25 users, with the SofaWare S-box appliance included in both prices and products.
For small and medium size businesses with up to 50 users, a separate solution called VPN-1/FireWall-1 SmallOffice NG is available starting from US$899 for complete systems or US$399 for the software component only.
Sandilands said that these latest product offerings in the small business market are representative of the company’s major focus over the coming months as well as customer demands from the small business space for a security solution tailored to their specific needs.
