SEW-Eurodrive will officially unveil its new MOVIDRIVE B application inverters at the national bulk materials handling exhibition, BULKEX 2004.
Providing power capacities ranging from 0.55 through to 132kW, the inverter supports applications ranging from standard variable speed drives through to sophisticated positioning and synchronous applications.
These will find application right across the Australian mining and minerals industry, including ore conveyors, feeder systems, water and slurry pumps, spray systems, etc.
Also on display at the exhibition will be the company’s alternative to keyed and smooth parallel-bore hollow shaft mounting systems: the TorqLOC keyless hollow shaft mounting system. High-efficiency induction motors will also share the spotlight with the company’s new DTE/DVE series cast-copper rotor motors.
The SEW-Eurodrive industrial gear units will form a central part of the company’s exhibit. Designed to provide compact and versatile solutions for transmitting loads up to 1200kNm of driving torque, the range comprises five distinct gear unit series: the MC Compact, M and CN series helical and bevel helical gear units, and the high-torque and power P and Q series planetary gear units.
SEW-Eurodrive MD Robert Merola said that beyond the engineering excellence of the individual products it is the end-to-end and tailored nature of the company’s solutions that has proven most important.
“This is the essence of the ‘packaged drives’ we’ll be displaying at BULKEX 2004: a powerful combination of premium components, Australian system engineering design and support and seamless integration,” Merola said.
The company’s packaged drives solution provides complete in-house engineered drives solutions for conveyors and feeders used in mining and minerals processing.
“Our local engineering expertise and support is what makes packaged drives happen.”
SEW-Eurodrive is at stand 94 at BULKEX 2004 to be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney, 2-4 March 2004.
