Peristaltic and sine positive displacement pumps from Watson-Marlow Bredel guarantee performance standards and create significant cost savings through superior hygienic performance, improved finished product quality, greater accuracy and repeatability and reduced downtime and lower maintenance costs.

Hygienic peristaltic pumps offering easy maintenance and reliability
  • Easily cleaned: CIP and SIP are essential procedures in the manufacture of many foods. You can clean in-line at full velocity, without the intrusion of the bypass required by most other positive displacement pumps. Dismantling and further cleaning are not required, giving significant operational advantages and cost savings
  • Hygienic: There is no risk of bacterial growth or product clogging as the fluid is contained wholly within the tube. The pumping action ensures that the tube is fully swept and the suction and delivery orientation enables the pump to self-drain
  • Low shear: The low-shear action and straight-through flow of the peristaltic pump assures product quality. The impellers, vanes, lobes or valves of other pumps can damage the product
  • Accurate: Providing true positive displacement with no siphoning or slip with an accuracy  rate of  ± 0.5%, regardless of fluid viscosity changes
  • Reliable: No seals, valves, diaphragms, glands, immersed rotors, stators or pistons to leak, clog, corrode and replace making them virtually maintenance-free. Self-priming and dry-running capabilities dramatically reduce spares inventory and maintenance
Sine sanitary masoSine pumps
  • Gentle product handling: The proven gentle pumping action does not damage shear-sensitive fluids
  • High suction: MasoSine pumps achieve up to 0.85 bar suction
  • Low pulsation: Low-pulsation performance prevents cavitation and ensures rapid, smooth discharge. Flow meter readings are more accurate and heat exchanger performance is more efficient
  • Energy saving pumps: MasoSine pumps' low torque requirement makes them far more economical to run than air-operated diaphragm pumps. Also, they need less power than rotary lobe pumps.
  • Bi–directional: MasoSine pumps are truly bi-directional and can run clockwise or counter-clockwise without modification
  • No aeration or foaming: The low-shear, gentle pumping action causes no aeration or foaming during product transfer
  • Quick and easy maintenance: Stripping the pump for inspection or to change a part takes less than 10 minutes and needs no special skills or training: a short briefing is sufficient
  • High viscosity: MasoSine pumps can handle viscosities up to 1,000,000 mPas
