In industrial activities it is critical that power and data services are well-protected against chafing, humidity, corrosion and extreme climatology.Unex insulating Cable Trays 66 are unaffected by corrosive environments and ensure good protection against outdoor exposure, UV and chemical agents. This resistance is ensured by the homogeneous raw material in itself; it is not achieved by applying a coating to the final product.

Moreover, insulating cable trays greatly improve electrical safety, do not require grounding and there is no need to upkeep the installation, as the product remains stable in the course of time. This leads to big savings during execution, inspection and maintenance.

Insulating Cable Trays 66 are made in two own-formulated raw materials, allowing UNEX to achieve enhanced features and outstand them from standard products:

  • In U23X, a PVC based specialised raw material with over 40 years of experience in industrial installations. Suitable for outdoor acc/ ANSI UL 568. Resistant to corrosion, service temperature from -20ºC to +60ºC. Safe working load test Type I acc/ IEC 61537. Fire safety: Glow-wire test at 960ºC and non-flame propagation UL94-V0. Electrical insulation: 18kV/mm
  • In U41X halogen free thermoplastic compound. Suitable for outdoor use, inherently resistant to humid and saline corrosion. Service temperature from -20ºC to +90ºC. Fire safety: Glow-wire test at 960ºC and non-flame propagation.

A safe, quick and easy mounting –which allows for greatly reduced installation costs– is assured by our complete system of fittings and accessories, most of them in the same insulating material, thus guaranteeing the system’s wholeness and electrical safety.
