The AEMC Fault Mapper Model CA7024 is a hand-held, alphanumeric TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) cable tester designed to measure the length of power and communications cables and indicate distance to open or short circuit faults up to range of 2,000 meters.
The AEMC Fault Mapper Model CA7024 cable tester is ideal for determining;
- the length of cables on reels, coils or in boxes
- cable runs in wall, conduit and other surfaces
- open and short circuits in cables and the distance to them
- runs and location by tracing cables
The AEMC CA7024 includes a hand held cable length meter and fault locator and detects opens and shorts and the distance to them from one end of the cable.
The Fault Mapper measures cable length up to 2000m and has automatic cable impedance compensation.
It has a built-in library of all of the most common cables and their velocity of propagation. The cable tester is able to manually select the velocity of propagation for all cables not found in the library.
The built-in generator traces and locates cables while results are highly visible, displayed on a large, blue electroluminescent backlit display.
