Available from TRIO  Test & Measurement, the new Flir i60 thermal imaging camera is now available with MeterLink Bluetooth wireless connection. Meterlink works between the i60 camera and selected Extech measurement instruments, enabling the instruments to talk to each other and record parameters such as voltage, current, temperature or humidity at the time the image was taken.

The connection transfers the data acquired via Bluetooth by the measurement instrument into the infrared camera and displays it on the infrared image for accurate and coordinated documentation.

This function helps to save time and eliminates the risk of faulty records or notes. For example, during an infrared inspection of a switchboard, users can transmit key readings such as current or voltage from a MeterLink-enabled Extech EX845 1000A AC/DC clamp meter directly to a FLIR i60 infrared camera.

For building industry applications concerned with detecting moisture and water ingress, MeterLink is also available on the Flir b60 thermal imaging camera. The b60 works with the Extech InspectorPro MO297 Multifunction Moisture and psychrometer, transferring data directly to the Flir i60 or b60 thermal imaging camera.

These thermal imaging cameras also feature an in-camera application that generates PDF inspection reports, enabling inspectors to compile images and findings into a report that can be handed to a client at a job site via a USB memory stick.

Bluetooth connectivity also allows voice annotation via a Bluetooth hands free headsets, allowing for easy recording of voice comments on either the Flir i60 or b60 thermal imaging cameras.

IR Window auto-correction is also provided with automatic sensitivity compensation for IR (infrared) windows. This ensures thermographers get connected to accurate diagnostics when protective safety interfaces, like view ports or IR windows, are used.
