Worldwide Holdings Berhad sought a solution from Striker Crushing & Screening Malaysia to process accumulated construction and demolition (C&D) waste material in the state of Selangor.

Illegal dumping of construction and demolition waste over a period of 5-10 years had created a huge problem, and the Selangor state government wanted to act quickly to combat the vexatious issue.

Following a series of discussions over several months with WHB, Striker Crushing & Screening supplied the Striker conveyor system and over belt magnet, a Striker JQ1165 jaw crusher and a Striker SC252 screen to process the C&D waste material effectively.

The raw material is fed onto the conveyor where six personnel would pick materials such as wood, plastic, paper and general waste, with the magnet removing any steel. The remaining waste would then enter the Striker JQ1165 jaw crusher and be crushed down to a -100mm size before being sent to the Striker SC252 screen where the material is separated into three different sizes for reuse in various construction industry applications.

The recycling plant was officially opened earlier this year by the Selangor Government and promoted as a first class example of recycling in Malaysia.
