NDT releases intrinsically safe thickness gauges

Supplier News

The new CorDEX UT5000 intrinsically safe thickness gauge distributed in Australia by NDT Equipment Sales is designed to measure metal thickness for non-destructive testing and predictive maintenance on pipelines and fixed equipment within hazardous locations.

The UT5000 featuring CorDEX CONNECT is a next generation metal thickness gauge packed with proven technologies. CorDEX CONNECT uses RFID+ software to tag thickness measurements with their location and then organises the data, giving the engineer a view of the pipeline at any specific location.

The unique corrosion mode feature helps identify spots of thinning on the pipeline while MultiECHO technology helps to improve accuracy on uneven surfaces. The Echo-Echo functionality enables the UT5000 to take thickness readings through protective paints without having to remove the coating.

Key features and benefits of the CorDEX UT5000 intrinsically safe thickness gauges include designed to suit rugged environments; shock-resistant skin to protect 8cm colour backlit screen; easy-to-feel raised buttons for convenience; intrinsically safe dual-element, 4MHz transducer adjustable up to 8Hz with accuracy of ±0.05mm; and ATEX and IECEx Certified for Zone 1 IIC T4 hazardous vapour areas and ATEX and IECEx Certified for ibD IIIB T200 degrees C Db hazardous dust areas.
