Mulder , an established Malvern based manufacturer of sail shades, has developed an innovative free standing shade sail structure for car wash businesses or parking areas.
These architecturally designed sail shades can be an elegant alternative to the traditional garage or carport.
This sail shade floats over the parking area using two supporting poles instead of four. This halving in number means less risk cars hitting supporting poles plus maximum use of the shade area.
This design is becoming increasingly popular for parking areas for apartments and domestic carports.
The design called the Eclipse and has the traditional streamlined look of a sail shade but is specifically designed for carports.
These shade structures can be effective when trying to reduce the sun’s harsh effect on car paintwork and interiors.
A central cross-piece supporting structure is then fixed on just two opposite corners of the sail. The sail floats over nearby walls and corners making it easy to position.
There also is no need to use a weight bearing fixing on a roof or external wall, placing no stress on existing structures. The shade is straightforward to dismantle and re-install for easy re-location when moving house.
A variety of designs are available using rectangular or square configurations. The space efficient two pole design means that the larger version can be used as a double carport.
The overall structure is made from hot dipped galvanised steel which is very resistant to rain, salt corrosion and rust. Eclipse is also engineer certified.
The sails themselves can be made in a choice of high quality shade cloths, architectural grade polyester mesh and solid PVC’s. These materials withstand wind, sun and rain.
UV ray resistant materials provide superb protection from the damaging rays of the sun.
