One such labelling success story was the joint project initiated between insignia and Dye Manufacturers of Australia. Dye Manufacturers of Australia was looking for a more streamlined and cost efficient labelling process for the manufacturer of their Tintex brand of craft paints and inks.
Jodie Johnston, Business Development Manager at insignia, undertook a site analysis to understand the business requirements of the company. Jodie Johnston discovered they were using 15 product-specific pre-printed labels of various sizes but with little brand consistency.
Jodie Johnston, along with insignia’s National Sales Manager for Labelling Systems, Brad Jeavons, devised a tailor made solution for Dye Manufacturers of Australia to streamline their processes.
This included a printer upgrade with the installation of the Datamax M Class, in conjunction with moving their label stock from prime labels to overprint labels.
Jodie Johnston explains, “this alternative print solution allows for consistent information to be pre-printed but provides flexibility for variable information to be added by the customer in production.”
The labelling solution provided by insignia allowed Dye Manufacturers of Australia to maintain their diverse product range while at the same time rationalising and consolidating their label requirements from fifteen to three.
As an additional benefit, Dye Manufacturers of Australia was able to eliminate labels with obsolete brand logos, thus strengthening their brand in the market place.
The success of the project is a testament to insignia and Dye Manufacturers of Australia who together were able to devise the correct labelling solution on time and to budget.
