Certification from specialty printer solutions manufacturer has given Brisbane-headquartered label specialist, Insignia , a powerful new status.
The award of Zebra Authorised Service Provider (ZASP) status is big news, not just for Insignia, but for the Asia Pacific variable information printing VIP sector.
According to Insignia, only two other companies in Australia enjoy the privilege. The certification is clear evidence of insignia’s progress in its quest for a top position on the national label ladder.
Though relatively new to the Zebra product range and service offer, Insignia’s path to ZASP status has been quick.
Insignia has a goal to be a leading participant in the industry in VIP by 2010. When Insignia looked at the systems and suppliers, Insignia thought the need to achieve the certification; Zebra was the name to stand out.
With the five year goal in place, ZASP was identified as an integral step in reinforcing the company’s product and service offer in the non-prime-label sector.
With an impressive 30 year history in label and label systems design and manufacture, the move into VIP was Insignia’s early response to industry change.
The company initiated the ZASP certification program in July last year and had completed training ahead of schedule by the end of September.
Full certification was awarded at the end of October with a roll-out scheduled for the New Year. The sales and service program is now fully underway.
ZASP features strong loyalty incentives and substantial product, pricing, training and education benefits.
In return, certified channel partners must maintain the high standards of technical skill, personnel availability and quality assurance.
The program is controlled out of Singapore by Dickson Chew, Zebra’s Asia Pacific Program Coordinator.
Primary requirements under ZASP are:
- Dedicated technical support including an exclusive ZASP telephone number available a minimum of eight hours a day five days a week and permanent email access
- A minimum of three Zebra- trained and certified technicians
- Repairs completed on-site in an average of two days and at depot in three days
- Adherence to regularly updated technical guides and electronic manuals
- According to Insignia, the benefits of partnering with another global brand bring powerful product differentiation.
Recognition under ZASP also means entry to an exclusive international network and priority technical support. Add access to a pricing structure that underpins the quality of the offer for channel partners and the benefits become even more compelling.
Though new to the program, the fact that Insignia has been selected for ZASP recognition speaks volumes for Insignia’s reputation.
Insignia has already identified more than 20 opportunities into which Zebra products and insignia service could be introduced. This is on top of small but growing current list of Zebra customers.
According to Insignia, the feeling is that if it supports the printer manufacturers they sell to their ability, the flow-on effect back into the labels business will naturally follow.
