ifm efector announces a new range of compact inductive sensors developed particularly for factory automation. The new sensors with correction factor K=1, provide a uniform sensing range for reliable detection of all metals.

Featuring compact dimensions, these sensors can be used in tight spaces. Incorrect switching is prevented by the new electromagnetic field immune sensor technology.

Consistent correction factor

While conventional sensors show a considerably reduced sensing range when it comes to aluminium, the ‘K=1’ sensors are perfectly suited for the detection of this metal. The inductive sensors also feature a constant sensing range on all other kinds of metals. Fast changing switching states are precisely monitored by the high switching frequencies.

Multitude of applications

The new sensor technology in ifm efector’s inductive sensors makes them powerful and immune to magnetic fields. Operating with absolute reliability even right next to electric brakes, these sensors can function in a wide temperature range of -40°C ~ +85°C, allowing universal use while the high protection rating IP 68/ IP 69K ensures constant reliability.
