ifm efector’s  new magnetic-inductive inline flow sensor (efector mid) with flow rate, totalising and temperature indication can be adapted to different conditions due to its flexible programming. It has a high protection rating and robust housing.

efector mid is used for exact flow metering of conductive liquids, e.g. water, coolant or oils. Due to the measuring range of 0 to 25 l/min and an accuracy of ± 2 % of the measured value the unit can be used in a wide range of applications.

At the same time the temperature of the medium is detected. No moving components are used. So the system operates reliably, wear and maintenance free.

Mounting via R 1/2 or R 3/4 adapter ensures easy installation in the pipe. The electrical connection is made via the standardised M12 connector.

The four-digit alphanumeric display indicates the current volumetric flow quantity, the accumulated total quantity or medium temperature. Switching, pulse or analogue outputs are available for external evaluation.

The diagnostic functionality of efector mid enables the safe operation of cooling circuits and systems. Due to the continuous monitoring the sensor can be perfectly integrated in condition-based maintenance concepts.

This permits longer maintenance intervals, which in turn leads to lower costs. Necessary maintenance can be planned, the reliability of the system is improved and plant uptime is increased. Expensive consequential damage resulting from lack of coolants is prevented.
